why are some many posts failing lately, it seems that shortly after posting the inevitable "Fail" shows up. i am sure this post will fail at discussing fail, but I am willing to chance it. Or will the the absence of "Fail" mean it has failed.

I think 90% of the "fail" posts are from a single poster. Kinda like when a certain other poster who used rate every thread.
