Finally some good news...

I noticed last week that UConn had no recruits in the top 30. (The AAC effect, I guess.) I said to my wife: it will be interesting to see if Geno can still develop 2nd level players to stay on top.

and how does that relate to us?

I guess the fact that UCONN didn't make it into the top 20 recruiting classes?

I'm more concerned that we didn't either and that 5 other B1G programs made it ahead of us. A bit of a reality check for me since I haven't been following recruiting as closely as I used to.

Yes, I agree. How does booing Geno and hating UConn advance the RU program? RU needs a succession plan for CVS and a Head Coach that can recruit players that produce the chemistry of winning basketball.
In the wider world of WBB, it is "news" of sorts. I, for one, don't "like" UConn, but I don't boo them or Geno either in person or in the abstract.

Wondering how UConn will recruit isn't my "thing", but it is interesting. I read their message board, as it covers a lot of WBB, but not really their recruiting angst threads - but they do exist. I don't expect them to be anything other than a Final Four expectation every year with a shot at a NC until Geno retires.

All of which doesn't suggest that your 2nd point is any less important or immediate to Rutgers fans. But, to the greater point, I try very hard to follow all of WBB, even if my rooting interests are really only Rutgers and Arizona.
