It took years for Schiano to build respectability for the program and give fans reason for optimism. Flood through his unethical behavior and recruitment off more than a few players of poor character and intellect, and lack of control over them, has brought shame and ridicule to the program. The current players collapsed against PSU and suffered a physical beat down. That was predictable given the distractions the have had to deal with over these past few weeks. Recruiting high caliber players with a coach whose integrity has been publicly called into question and whose job status is shaky will be very difficult at best. On top of all of this, Flood is as a whole a below avg. to poor coach. We must now start rebuilding what Schiano started. That can only be done with a new coach.
