Despite the insistence by some posters, there is not a clear separation when one coach moves on and a new one comes in. Even 3 years later, GS's guys like Lumpkin, Caroo, Denman, Agudosi, James, Gause, JPO and probably a few others are still around and many of these guys are making big plays, no doubt.

Flood's guys are in their first, second and third years so it is STILL hard to project what a roster of his guys looks like as DL and OL take so long to develop. Will there be enough impact players to field an above average team? There are guys making plays for sure, but will there be enough? Filling out a 2 deep is critical to survive injuries but the team must have guys that can make big plays also.

  • Grant: Impact player in the return game. Making plays as a WR, but not sure why he is not having more big plays. Maybe as they open the O up more, he will get more chances. Next year as a 4th year guy, he will need to step up. I am guessing that he will like Tim Brown did in his last year.
  • Dorian Miller: Seems legit at OG in year 3. Has two more years and that is where we find out just how good he is. Seems to beholding his own as a first year starter.
  • Patton: Solid. Next year, he may have to step it up. Can he?
  • Hicks/Martin: Nothing needs to be said here. RU has never had this type of tandem. Just a pleasure.
  • Laviano/Rettig: Everybody has their own opinion so let's not have this dominate the thread. I think that most are confident that one or both have talent.
  • Joseph: Young has hell for a DT. Did have an impact play later in the game to stuff the run. I think it was a TFL. BIG play. He may be one of the future play makers.
  • Cioffi: Three INTs with a big one yesterday. BIG time play.
  • Wharton: SWEET INT. Game changing play.
  • Hester: Not sure. Seems to have the physical tools. So young still.
  • Applefield: People seem to like his play . Won't know for 1-2 years though.
  • Goodwin: They are finding ways to use him for critical plays. Great to see him contribute.
  • Adams: ?
  • Austin: ?
  • Turay: No need to comment on him as so many other threads do.
  • Isiah Johnson: No insight
  • Wilkins: ?
There are so many other young WRs, RBs and other players that are too young to even comment on, it seems. Only time will answer the question, but next year the 2013 class will be in year 4 so hopefully there will be several impact players from that class.
