Given the talent, lack of injuries/suspensions/players off the team, Texas is arguably the most underperforming school relative to expectations, yet this came out today on ESPN

"Despite a 1-4 start and a 7-11 record since starting with the Longhorns, head coach Charlie Strong has support from school officials and key boosters, sources told ESPN's Joe Schad. One source saying, "Charlie has a lot of breathing room."

Very similar to remarks from Towers....

The long and short of it is...barring a complete meltdown/firm violation of contract, continuity is the way to build a program. Of course, if Flood finishes 3-9 and loses most of this solid recruiting class changes might be made - but if you believe in the character of the person (which boosters do, and give him a mulligan for the one time indiscretion) and realize that 2015 was the perfect storm of bad luck - by all means, Flood deserves another chance. We already knew before the season started that 6-6 would be a good year and that was WITH all our starters, and we are likely 3-1 with our full squad and no one is complaining.

Lets hope for steady improvement, and lots of experience for our young team, and 2016 is shaping up to be a much improved year
