The more I dig, the more this guy seems like the no brainer home run hire.
- he has head coaching experience and can take total control of the offensive side of the ball
- he current makes $300K/yr, we can give him nearly a $1,000,000 raise per year with a 4 year/$5,000,000 contract
- he has run one of the most prolific offenses in college football history at fordham. This year they were the #1 offense in all of fcs football averaging 611 yards per game and 7.74 yards per play.
- his qb this year Tim Demorat threw for 4600 yards, 53TD/8 INT
- fordham played MAC 1st place team Ohio this year and lost 59-52 a game in which his offense threw for 503 yards 6TD and 0 INT. His offense put up 640 yards vs an opponent with superior talent.
- old friend trey sneed rushed for 1,000+ yards for Fordham this year and their #2 back had 854 yards on the ground as well
If this guy isnt at the very least offered the job I will have to seriously question all things schiano going forward. Lastly, this isnt the reason to get him but he does have 3 of the top wr’s in fcs all whom had 1,000+ yard years with one year of eligibility left on his roster he can bring with him as well.
