Former Louisville BB players suing NCAA

Don't know if they really have a case here, but I always feel badly for the players that had no knowledge or involvement in something that ends up like this.

I don't really care about "vacating" the title as that is a meaningless punishment. What I do hope the NCAA did was force UL to pay back any money it received for that tournament, which includes what their conference (which I believe was still the BE at that point) received as their payout. The conference can then go after UL for whatever they lost.

The two go hand-in-hand.

If they have to vacate wins then that means those games never happened and any financial benefit they received for a game that did not happen must be returned.

Thanks, Russ. That's good to know. I hope that you mean to say that the conference also loses that money (and the "points" that go with it for 6 years as is being discussed in another thread on this board at the moment).

I believe that is also correct based on what a B1G football player told me about vacated games. He said "it is like the gams were never played. No individual records achieved (I think a teammate of his set a team record for tackles in a game), no bowl money nothing."
