Unfortunate but as predicted
Not a portal kid.You certainly can see how tough it is to get quality talent out of the portal when kids like Hart are winding up at Kentucky.
Thanks. I stand corrected. Even so, Kentucky seems a stretch for him.Not a portal kid.
It was about getting to a school closer to home.Thanks. I stand corrected. Even so, Kentucky seems a stretch for him.
IU didn't offerHe ended up a lot closer to home but didn't pick the closest landing spot of the schools that showed interest.. UK is about 190 miles away from Linton, while IU in Bloomington is about 40 miles away...(Assuming that the family still lives in Linton..) Still, a 3 or 3 1/2 hour drive home isn't bad, and we don't know what each school offered...
After his father lost his coaching job, the family was considering a possible move to wherever Joey went to school... (Apparently his dad's other job lets him work from home...). Anyway, I wish Joey and the family the best.
Calipari is on some thin ice there. They don't have a stellar season and I can see him being fired.
There was no guarantee Kentucky was going to offer. They only did because they whiffed only multiple other guysRutgers chasing rainbows recruiting against Kentucky, even for a 3-star.
Okay. Thanks... With headlines in some of the articles stating that he chose Kentucky over IU and Rutgers, I assumed IU offered also.IU didn't offer
true but a new coach might not be enamored with Hart. Then he would be hired by someone in 48 hours.
I feel like this is said every year tho with him at Kentucky lolCalipari is on some thin ice there. They don't have a stellar season and I can see him being fired.
Last I checked he could not be fired…lifetime contract. I suppose they could buy him off…for a LOTCalipari is on some thin ice there. They don't have a stellar season and I can see him being fired.
I don’t think he cares. He likes working with top 1 and done kids and getting them to the NBA. If he can win a title along the way, that is gravy, and he knows it would be better to have some older players on the roster, he just prefers being an NBA pipeline. And as someone else said, if they fired him he would have a job the next day.Last I checked he could not be fired…lifetime contract. I suppose they could buy him off…for a LOT

Calipari isn't about winning championships. He's about putting guys in the NBA. The NBA playoffs were full of Kentucky guys.I don’t think he cares.
