In case you haven't figured it out yet, the point where everything went wrong for you was when you read the comments section on NJ.com.
Also works for MSNBC.
if you click on his username... the url will read something along with lines of /staff in some part of the url... when clicking other habitual trolls the same thing happens.
When clicking on normal users... /user or /member, i forget which, comes up.
It is a staff member who posts to draw clicks/page views.
Is that true? Revealed where?Months ago it was revealed that they pay some people to troll in order to generate anger, leading to clicks. If you fall for it, it's just good for them. Don't fall for it.
Is "troll" an occupation now?? I mean, I can piss people off just as well as the next guy. LOL.

Please see the posts between this and my reply. There was a long thread about this a few months ago on this site after someone did their "investigation." Bottom line, just ignore the comment sections in media sites because anything inflammatory is likely either the writer of the article themselves or interns trying to create arguments - and clicks. Is that true? Revealed where?

Sadly, in the early-to-mid 2000's, there were a couple of Rutgers athletes/alums who used to post there and rip the football program. They obviously played in non-revenue sports (one was on the baseball team) and were insanely jealous that football got all of the resources it did. What a set of pathetic tools there were.and you made his day by creating a thread about him. The other people on there are Syracuse fans. 99% of the comments are just there to flame.
