I think even if Michigan wins out (beating MD and MSU), and they finish tied with MSU, head to head they would be 1-1. The next tie-breaker would be record against the next teams in the standings, or against a pool if teams are tied. MSU is 3-0 against the current next 3 teams in the rankings: Wisconsin, Maryland and Purdue. Michigan, even if they beat Maryland, would be 2-1 . If those 3 teams do NOT end up tied, even so UM loses out: Each of MSU and UM beat Wisconsin, if UM beats Maryland this week, both would have beaten Maryland. But UM lost to Purdue and MSU beat Purdue. If records vs UCLA and Illinois come into play - MSU beat Illinois 2X and lost to UCLA ... UM beat UCLA and lost to Illinois.

Short story? I think MSU wins all tiebreakers vs Michigan ... so Michigan would have to win out, and MSU would have to lose out for UM to finish a game ahead of MSU.

As you know from your Harper injuries, so much depends on health. Illinois hasn’t had everyone healthy since they had Indiana down 32 in the first half at Indiana.

The last week is the healthiest Illinois has been in awhile even though Morez is out with the fractured wrist.

Ivisic looks good after having mono, then a bad sprain and then the flu in a four week period.

Yes, Illinois hasn’t been up and down, but the majority of the down has been due to illness and injury.
