Robert Smith can eat (you know what).According to Robert Smith (former OSU player), Rutgers will never win a B1G championship. Our top seasons will only ever be 8-9 wins.
I remember all the "experts" saying Trump would never win the presidency...,
I mean in reality, we would need to be better than OSU, PSU, AND Michigan. Last year we recruited 2 players that was offered by those teams, and both would not be premier recruits like they are for us. Let that sink in. Never is a long time, but unless we cheat I don't think it's happening in our lifetime
A team with the players you just mentioned still likely doesn't win the big ten, that's how good OSU was. I do agree our chance to strike was when PSU had sanctions and UM had the Hoke sanction, blame Flood for thatThat's now. If we never had Flood, we would've probably been as good as Michigan State who went to the Rose Bowl. If we didn't have Flood, we would've had Saquon Barkley, David Njoku, Saeed Blacknall, etc. Schiano would've never let the decommit class happen and we would've rolled on. All of those kids never flip and Penn State doesn't pillage New Jersey. Hamilton and Carroo and Big time Jerry guys were taking us seriously. We were just as good as Penn State and better than Michigan when we got in the B1G. So never say never.
If Schiano didn't leave AT THE LAST POSSIBLE MINUTE, there wouldn't have been a Flood. Probably would've had a better coach available to hire if Schiano left at the normal time (December/Early January) instead of days before signing day.I know what we're up against, but I honestly believe if Flood never happened and we had somebody worth a damn after Schiano left, that we would be competing for the #3 spot in the east. Recruiting was trending up as of 2012, and with Penn state on sanctions, we had a huge opportunity to capitalize. What that tells me is that it's possible to get there at Rutgers, but we built up to that point in a lesser conference. Getting back, in this conference and this division, is going to be much more difficult. I honestly don't know how likely it is. What could've been...
This game was scheduled back when Washington was a middle of the pack team. As with any long term scheduling, you have as much chance of playing them when are they bad (Kansas) as you when they are good. They shut up at halftime...............
bunch of talking heads......... Pornstach is the worst.....
What we do have is a chance to get bowl-eligible each year.... and that's why scheduling is extremely important... and why Julie Hermann was a moron for scheduling teams like this to open a season (in addition to many other reasons she was a moron....)

By "middle of the pack", I assume you mean in 3rd place in PAC12 N. behind Oregon and Stanford.......... they were already very good......
It was a bonehead move.... period.
Wasn't it a last minute replacement game because UCLA bailed on playing us?
at the time, Luicci reported the addition of UW led to UCLA getting pushed back......
