Hey quick question.. Is there still a shuttle that runs from New Brunswick to the game on Saturday and back? If so, how long does it run prior to kickoff as well as after the game? Where does it pick up in New Brunswick and also after the game? Thanks.

Found the website.. Looks like the shuttle bus leaves upto 3 hours before gametime from the NB train station. Is that accurate? How often does it pick up and where does it pick up near the stadium? Thanks again.

RutgersSam,
The shuttle that you want to get on is by the student center on College Ave. Those buses move out quickly because they are immediately filled. You can get a shuttle on Albany St. (Route 27) near the train station, but not that many people use that location. That bus doesn't leave until it is full, so if you plan on heading to the game early, you might be sitting idle on the bus until its at capacity. A buddy and I went to Brother Jimmy's for grub and made the mistake of getting on this shuttle. We waited about 20 mins before it left for the stadium. All the shuttles drop you off in the same spot, right in front of the stadium in Johnson Park. Old Queens Tavern usually runs a free shuttle from their location if you want to tip a few drinks prior to the game. If its a close game (hopefully), you will find the shuttle back to be quite the experience.

I parked in the green lot for our Pandemonium in Piscataway game nine years ago so I don't know if the stadium pickup location has changed. Back then, shuttle buses picked up on the north side of the Bubble. The line for the shuttles snaked along the west side of the Bubble through the green lot. It appeared to be a very slow-moving line.

If I'm not mistaken, the shuttle buses to the RAC pick up & drop people off on the north side of the Bubble.

The shuttle buses to/fro College Avenue in New Brunswick are located in the Johnson Park main lot, directly across River Road from HPSS.

The parking map linked below shows two shuttle locations. The one I mentioned on the north side of the bubble goes to the RAC. The other location is in Johnson Park which goes to College Ave.

I've taken the shuttles from both locations (train station and College Ave) and agree they tend to leave more quickly from College Ave. Plus you can buy a patriotic "R" hat from the Army ROTC right in front of the bus line. Last time (Ohio State), I was by myself and just walked from the train station to the stadium. It's about a 30 minute walk, not bad. But if you have a crew and if you're eating and drinking in NB before the game, you'll probably appreciate the shuttles.

Correct, the shuttle at the north side of the Bubble is for RAC parking only. Avoid at all costs lol.

That seems to be correct based on the map I linked in the post above.

This is similar to how Pitt students get transported to Heinz Field which is 3.5 miles from campus.

HAIL TO PITT!!!!

Free Shuttle Bus: Buses depart regularly beginning three hours prior to kick-off at the New Brunswick Train Station Albany Street Bus Stop (located next to the taxi cab waiting area) and return up to three hours after the game. Call 1-800-626-RIDE for more information.
