Light day, as usual for Thanksgiving, but with lots of ranked teams in action. (And I hope everyone had a wonderful day!)

B1G

#9 Ohio State 100 Memphis 69 - Mavunga led the Buckeyes with 35 and 16
Syracuse 77 Wisconsin 74 - Badger comeback effort failed
Buffalo 82 Nebraska 72 - ouch
Iowa 77 Charlotte 64 - Gustafson had 23 and 14 for the Hawkeyes

Other RU opponents

NC State 68 Alabama 49 - 1st loss for Tide

Other ranked teams

#7 Mississippi State 65 #24 Arizona State 57 - a back and forth affair
#8 Baylor 100 Missouri State 58 - 18 and 10 for Cox to pace the Bears
#11 West Virginia 75 Butler 68 - close most of the way
#12 Tennessee 101 #20 Marquette 99 OT - game of the day
#14 Stanford 79 Kent State 54 - a lot closer than it looks

Also

Vanderbilt 69 George Washington 59 - 1st win for Commodores
Florida Gulf Coast 89 DePaul 84 OT - Eagles now 6-0*

*Edited to correct score; the teams' records also were wrong because of the error at ESPN.

Today:

B1G: 2-2
Other RU opponents: 1-0

Year to date:

B1G: 47-11
Other RU opponents: 46-20

Actually, DePaul lost, 89-84, as you say, in overtime. I too had trouble figuring out who won - first, ESPN appeared to say it was DePaul, then I saw on another message board that it was FGCU so I actually went to DePaul's web site.

On a separate note, regarding Vanderbilt - that was at GW, as they are hosting the tourney due to hurricane damage in the Virgin Islands. Ouch.

And I too hope you and yours had a wonderful Thanksgiving Day!

I got the score from ESPN, before they fixed it. I've corrected it above.

Interestingly, ESPN reflected the incorrect score in the teams' records, too, so it was wrong all the way around.
