Here’s a plug for geo if you know some kids and parents that may be interested .
Good luck to him in this business venture , while trying to help kids reach their dreams and potential.

this industry of personalized instruction/sports tutoring has really taken off . It can be very lucrative (and expensive for mom and dad lol)

$25 is a steal for this. Good on him for not making it crazy expensive because he can certainly charge more.

I know itd be an unconventional hire but when we lose Brandon Knight to a head job somewhere, Geo should be the replacement on the staff

Bryant McIntosh is on the staff at Northwestern. He started as DOBO and was promoted to the bench this season. That'd be the blueprint. I think we'd want Geo on the bench and out recruiting right away if he wanted to go the coaching route. But honestly from a lifestyle POV being an assistant coach sucks.

i would just want to know max amount of kids at one time before i brought my daughter there

I think it's a little easier lifestyle in basketball compared to football. Football assistant isn't a job id wish on my worst enemy.

1) Football is a much more complicated sport coaching wise
2) So many kids to manage and your job hinges on 130 18-22 year old behaving themselves
3) So many more kids to talk to and recruit. A football recruiting class with transfers included these days is like 25-30 kids whereas basketball is usually 3 kids or so.

Not saying either job is easy but the assistant in bball lifestyle is easier than the football grind imo. And shit, $500K aint bad! haha

I think it all evens out. There isn’t any type of off-season in basketball. Two teams that are on campus the most are mens and womens basketball. Way more coaches for football too. Both are definitely not easy. It’s a lot of time away from family.

I’m maxing it out at 20 kids per session! If more start signing up I’ll hire help and do multiple courts
one more question...is the training avail every day at specified hours, and you pay per session , as you go? or you commit to # of sessions up front, and have to give advance notice of dates going?

The "flex" model is way to go, if that works. Similar to how US Hoops does it, and the Timinskis.

Haven’t put together a flex package but some people have paid for multiple sessions up front. But mainly just doing it as you go.

Geo must have dropped the price. It was $40 a few days ago (which is still a great deal).
Haha yeah i was doing $40 to start because it was usually 1-4 kids a session. Once it started to spread there was no need to keep that price. The Woodbridge area isn’t super wealthy either so I’d rather just make it affordable for everyone. Been making more than enough money from it so i don’t really “need” to charge more.

For comparison::: The Timinski’s charge $10 a session and us hoops is similar to Geo. I think if you sign up for 25 sessions it’s just under $25

This is a great opportunity for local kids.

Nice job Geo - these parents probably would have a hard time finding a baby sitter at that rate.

Maybe you and Eric can cross market your businesses in Woodbridge ?
