No. 13 Rutgers field hockey sophomore Gianna Glatz was named National Defensive Player of the Week by the NFHCA, it was announced Wednesday. Glatz, who was previously named Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week, is the second Rutgers player this year to earn a national player of the week accolade, following Daphne Groothuis, who earned Offensive Player of the Week honors from the NFHCA in September. Groothuis also earned Honorable Mention status this week from the NFHCA.
