So what is the case for a guy like Golden?
I've never followed his career all that closely, but my 10,000 foot view is that he comes across as a bit of a tool with his white shirt and tie, I don't know what his specialty is (is he an offensive or defensive guy), his personality seems pretty bland, and he feels like damaged goods considering he just got fired from Miami.
Compared to Cristobal, who I also don't know well, I feel like he has had time to rebuild his credibility after getting let go at FIU and can thus recruit better, he has had the time to reflect on what went right/wrong at FIU, and he had an opportunity to learn under one of the best under Saban, while seeing how a first class operation operates.
So inform me...why would we be confident that Golden could succeed here?
