I really liked the control Sanders played with. Tons of maturity. I am happy for the kid. He never had it easy. There were times he could have made a risky pass on transition and it may have worked out, but it wasn't a clear pass. Great decision making there.

Always have liked Laurents game. Potential is definitely there. Hands straight up defense in the paint will keep him in games.

Grier- have to make sure we are running plays for him to help get him some shots.

I want to see Goode taking his shots more. Give yourself a chance young fella.

Decent decision making by Daniels. Good for him!

Our small ball could be okay.

Is umass lowell a fantastic team?Probably not. But a win is something to celebrate. And the rac was happy. Going into BIG ten play last night means alot.

Ya think ?
Mass Lowell played ten guys vs. Rutgers....including six freshmen and two sophomores.
They started three frosh and two sophomores and only one guy taller than 6'3"...freshman Josh Gantz at 6'7". The only guy off of the bench with any height was Dontavious Smith...another freshman listed as 6'8"....but all of 195 lbs.
No, we won't see a Big Ten team with a roster like that.

I enjoyed the win. It's not like we lost or beat them by 2. We need to make grier and goode paramount. That is one of the couple keys to the season. Get Goode his space and cuts, and same for Grier. Grier seems like a more spot guy, so his cutting and timing is essential.

We have a 1 1/2 day turnaround before our B1G opener. Corey Sanders played 36 minutes and virtually the entire 2nd half.

What does this tell you about the game?

It goes to show you that we have reality on the court. We are very thin without Corey Sanders. That is out of our control right now. It is not something that any of us should be surprised by. We are who we are.

We know the Rutgers basketball narrative well, right? We never have a ton of depth because we haven't shown the capability to win season after season. Once we win, maybe we could get some depth behind sanders that can carry a scoring lot and handle the ball well.

Hopefully we continue to see Daniels play at a controlled pace. The pace last night was terrific and lead to less turnovers. I hope to see it continue at indiana.

No...it goes to show you the game was tight and not reflective of the score.

What game were you watching???????

Up 5 with 10-12 minutes to go?
Yeah. Tight.

The description of the opposing team's players does sound like high school.

(I just love FIG's doses of reality. He could really point out the negatives, but he is being nice.)

Goode has enough space to get his shot off. He just needs a little James Harden in him.

Corey Sanders played the 1st 18 minutes consecutively of both halves with Indiana in 1 1/2 days away. Either Eddie was unaware of the schedule or the game was so close that Corey couldn't afford a break.

Goode has to shoot more (and make). It is part a reluctance to miss and he probably needs to be positioned a few feet away from where he is now. Everyone of his 3 attempts have been within a foot of the line. Great shooters can make them 3-4 feet further away....plus it doesn't hurt spacing.

I don't understand why you two post here. Truly.

No, with 10 minutes to go we were up 15. Need to get your facts straight.

Sure it was a crappy opponent, but it was sure nice to see RU knock down some shots and blow out a team they are supposed to beat. RU played good team basketball on offense last night. It's s shame our big men may be out for the rest of the year because the Big10 teams are going to pummel us inside.

Higgs -- love you enthusiasm but if a kid is afraid to shoot against UM-L, what happens against IU? He's at 15.5 minutes a game and shooting 34% from the floor and 27% from the 3. He's actually played more than Grier. Grier's minutes need to go up and Goode's down.

The kids took care of business last night. Another rough night for Williams, 4-10, against a bad team. He's got to step up. Laurent was a battler at the 4 (and 5?) against a tiny front line. That's the last one he'll see until November '16. Really need to get the size healthy ... stat ... to stay within 15 at home and 20 on the road in the B1G.

Don't understand Brain......Someone who gets off on "posting negatives". What purpose does it serve ? What's the end game ?

AND....where did "Brain" come from, because he was not here several months ago, throughout the summer or last season.

I graduated from Rutgers in 90, was in the RAC PAC, attended the A10 championship vs PSU, drove to the NCAA game that year, have been a Rivals member since 2002, joined premium this January.

Was a football season ticket holder for many years until I moved out of the area.

I supported Flood until he got suspended even though in my heart of hearts, I knew he wasn't a good coach.
I used to call out the Flood haters until that time.
Turns out they were right.

And I know that Eddie is not the right fit for Rutgers. I am not going to blindly follow and root for a guy that has a track record of several years at our school and has done nothing of note to earn the confidence of our fanbase.

I am calling a spade a spade, and Eddie is NOT a good college coach and is a terrible fit for Rutgers.
We need someone who is young, energetic, can motivate, relate to today's modern player, can teach principles and pays attention to all the details (like rebounding the basketball).

If you don't like it, too bad.

I will try to limit my criticism, but you will see I am right, and I am by far not the only one who feels this way.

Sorry if you feel I should be all in on a failed program.

I truly believe in Ash and like everything we are seeing there.
I am all in.
I think basketball needs the same infusion of energy (yes, and faciltiies!)

I truly believe in Hobbs and I am all in on him.
I think he is the perfect AD for RU at this time, and when he thinks the time is right, he will make the move in BB.

Enjoy the B1G season and let's take inventory at that time.

No doubt about grier versus goode. What goode does give us is smart plays. He doesn't turn it over. We need more obviously. You are right, but still, I hope he finds his confidence. Both grier and goode need to be taking more shots.
