Great mention for Ash

That is a great show of support from an elite athlete who knows how much a coach was more than a coach to the entire team.

He will probably also miss the cupcakes Mrs. Ash makes for every time the team wins...

Here is to hopefully our team eating LOTS OF CUPCAKES!!

No point to this line of thought but I wonder if Ash could have landed Eli Apple...
I don't see why not. He can say he brought OSU to a national championship and will the the same for Rutgers. What reason would Apple have not come?

He said OSU was his dream school and when they got Urban Meyer, he was set to go there

Ash really screwed up by not coaching Bosa well. How could you get tossed out of the most important game of the year in the first quarter? And this guy is #1 ranked player coming out of college.

I have a feeling we are going to get a lot of bonehead plays like that next year.

Flood was repped well by his players too.

The difference is that tOSU's players won a National Championship last year and kicked Notre Dame's butt in the Fiesta Bowl this year. -So I'll take positive player comments about the guy who's going to be RU's new head coach stated on a nationally televised, heavily watched New Year's Day bowl over quotes only heard locally any day, whether those comments ultimately lead to any new Rutgers commits or not.

Would have been better to have him here. Michigan honored Durkin by only giving up 7 points. OSU defense was not at its best today. Season high? Splitting jobs doesn't work.

Will support our Coach 100 % when he does the same.

Bosa was out early and they weren't playing Washington who is one of their best players. Might of had something to do with it.

And Shutt. That's 3 of their projected Front 4. Not many teams that'd beat that ND offense even with all their starters playing.

You can't be serious with this? -And even without Bosa, (and also with, from what the Buck's visitors to the board have mentioned, a couple of other key guys out from their "D"), tOSU still beat Notre Dame 44-28.

I'll take that sort of "bonehead" play, and the resulting "W", over the type of bonehead play we've had here the last few years every time.

He was mentioned 3 tines twice during game. Once was fleeting and the 2nd during the games after halftime panned to him in the booth. The 3rd was the best mention after game on trophy stand with Apple. Watched it in ESPN 2

Watching the game, it appeared Luke Fickell was the only defensive coordinator OSU had. They focused the camera on him every time ND was on offense by focusing on the sideline. Like the other poster said, Ash was barely mentioned.

Ash was mentioned various times during the telecast and one time the cameras focused on him when he was in the booth. During that footage of Ash, the announcers are telling the audience that new Rutgers HC Chris Ash , the current DC at OSU is being replaced by Greg Schiano.

Of course, as part of the demean and denigrate brigade, you fail to mention that Florida was one of the weakest offensive teams in the country and was challenged to put points on the board all year. Powerful Kentucky held Florida to 9 points, even more powerful Vandy held them to 7, Missouri and Georgia held them without a TD , and Florida State shut them out (UF scored a safety).

On the other hand a significantly short-handed OSU defense held a far superior Notre Dame team (as compared to Florida) beneath its seasonal offensive stats and you berate them.. But by now we know your agenda I don't believe your last sentence for a second and neither do you.
