Guess the line vs Wake Forest

Two encouraging stats I have seen that would suggest we can at least keep it close:
Their overall D is bad, but they are exceptionally bad against the run, actually "decent" against the pass. This is even a bit strange considering they were typically playing with nice leads. Can see us running a bunch and "shortening the game"
They are REALLY good at 3rd down conversions offensively, nearly 50%. Defensively this is where we do well. I don't think we shut them down, but a lot of their prolific scoring is coming from converting 3rd downs vs. a ton of big plays.
Not saying we would win but think it bodes well to keeping the game competitive.

Problem is Syracuse progressed substantially after we played them ( correct QB playing)
We would have lost decidingly had we played that day.
With the way Wake plays on D, being down 3TD’s late wouldn’t be that bad of a scenario. RU should probably short squib some kickoffs during the game anyway to try to get a “turnover”.
RU should also line up ONeal at tight-end (he has at least 2 TD’s already) and have six road graders up front for some of the game and then max protect to get some time for some down the field completions.

Absolutely think Simon should start and Wimsatt should play a lot, but no way I think that's happening. GS wouldn't do it to Vedral.
Would be funny if Gleeson ran Langan for 3.4 yards every play until Wake showed they could stop it.
Think about it fate got us a bowl game in Florida vs NYC or Detroit. Maybe it’s our fate to pull off the upset! Wouldn’t that be special!
