So far.

Why is Laviano, who isnt fast, strong, or smart with the ball running a keeper on 3rd and 4th down??

A high school coordinator would know this offense does not work with Laviano. Why not do roll out passing?

Very true, except we've seen that Laviano can't throw on the run so that's not an option.

It might just be the talent discrepancy rearing itself. Everyone reading this would have gladly accepted 0-0 with a minute left in the first half.

...and now the game is basically over since we can't score or have a QB who can throw. Awesome.

You guys are freaking pathetic. 4th down call was great play. Laviano needs to pitch it there. Your never happy. He leaves oden in and you cry he's a freshman in that situation. Id love to see what you guys predicted the score would be.

No the call was good(though I would have taken the 3 points). The problem was Laviano running it!

Play calling includes personnel and Laviano has no business running that thus it was horrendous decision by our coaches.

A monkey with a headset on calls Martins number 3x when we are on the 2 yard line

Our O coach has not a clue what to do when we are in the red zone...

I predicted a close game...
You obviously don't know how this offense works. First and second downs had the option for Martin to run. The freshman chose to keep the ball. In fact he's chosen to keep it on almost every play he's been in this year.

I actually played at Cornell and beat RU 2x,,,you likely have never played
dont tell me how the O works skippy

All U ever DO is call out RU fans and try to bully them......for now..I am sick of your dimbulb posts and will just block you

YES.....game day threads always bring out the most unknowledgeable posters. Harris walks in with the pitch.

They had Laviano in there because the defense would think pass. If the freshman is in they know 100% it is going to be a run and probably QB keeper. The game has another half to go, I am surprised it is only 0-7. So lets see that adjustments are made and who will step up in Grants absence.

Close but wrong. I also played college football and coached HS football. Unless you graduated In the last 5 years you didn't play in this type of O. Are you telling me the QB didn't choose to run the ball? This isn't 1998 anymore. Every play has multiple options. It's up to the QB to distribute the ball. We distributed it poorly.

It was a great call with the wrong personnel, Laviano should not be running that play. He has no idea how to run the option properly. It's 100% proven at this point. No debate.

Thats poor coaching.

That's fine and dandy but the first 3 calls were terrible. Ok maybe first down was ok. 1st and goal from the 2. And those were the 4 plays? With Laviano running it? Bring in Oden if you're not gonna throw.

Agreed, why not just a simple handoff to Martin he's been chuggin all game. The playcall was "too creative" just keep it simple and get in the damn endzone

I was in the camp that the staff was playing laviano because he is the best. But it's obvious with this strategy and play calling the offensive staff is clueless. It's as simple as that

Of the horrible Laviano run instead of kicking FG, Ash just said "it was a great playcall." That is crazy. He sounded like Flood: arrogant and delusional.

Needed to come way with some points and I though going for the FG was the best move that stage of the game.
If it worked would have called Ash a genius, but now say he messed up.

As FANS its important that you recognize that you only judge a coach based on the result of a play. You are not smart enough to realize what was or wasn't there. You only see pass or fail.

The call was there... it seems lavs blew it.

I'm actually encouraged by our direction.
