How is Sean Miller Back in Coaching?

I just read "Black Market" by Merl Code. Amazing how most of the big time coaches skate away from all the crap that goes on in college basketball.

Different rules for different people. When the crimes are committed from programs that make big bucks, they don’t seem to matter. The programs that hire them don’t have much integrity either. It’s all about $$$.

Well maybe given the current environment, it would be considered wrong to hold his prior recruiting infractions against him since it is now legal to pay players. Kind of like tossing out all prior cannabis convictions.

Its amazing how these guys, like Kelvin Sampson, and many others just keep getting jobs despite their outright cheating.

Simple. Most "big time" and wanna-be "big time" programs subscribe to the theory that if you aren't cheating your aren't trying!

Star Ledger had an article a few weeks ago about the guy who took the fall - nickname “book” if I remember correctly

Watching replay now of Keystone Academy game at RAC - one of the announcers is “Book” Richardson, the guy who got jail time over the recruiting scandal, when head coaches managed to avoid punishment

Book Richardson committed at least several serious violations while at Arizona, some to benefit the team, and others to benefit himself.... He received the harshest penalty of the two Arizona assistant coaches who were penalized for their violations. Richardson currently has a top position with the New York Gauchos AAU youth team, who are associated with and have partnerships with the New York Rens AAU team that Dylan Harper has played for..

If Sean Miller wasn't totally naive, then it seems that his technique was to leave no trace of his involvement, to have extremely loyal assistant coaches who were willing to take a bullet for him, and possibly to have some friends on the NCAA infraction committee..

Well pike is winning . Not good comparison . Would you rather have Eddie Jordan or those guys ?
Not going to touch that one. As a person and an NBA assistant Eddie was/is great. He never should have been offered the position. Some people are meant to be head coaches and some aren't.
Pike proves that you don't have to sell your soul to turn around a program and make it a winner.
