It's a good call if they weren't in punt safe. There should be an option to check in and out of a trick punt or FG play based on defensive formations.

Sorry but there's no reality in which that was a good call. you're in your own 30s. you pretty much guarantee the opponent more points and change of momentum. If it was 4th and inches, 'maybe'. Even if you convert, it only gains you the opportunity to still go 60+ yards. there was a full quarter to go - you punt, and try and get 2 scores.
