The complete and total lack of public acclimation from AR himself. Per one of the above posts, compare him to Jon Pollock.

If Flood was still the the HC don't think Anthony would have been a lock,especially with
other P-5 schools talking to him.
Better he decommit than be unhappy with the O Ash is setting up and feel it's not suited
to make the most of his talent.
I hope Russo signs his LOI to RU, but can understand if he feels another school might fit him better.
He has a lot of talent , but when Flood received Anthony's verbal Russo wasn't that heavily recruitedif I am remembering it right.

This. Just wish he would've done it sooner rather than a few weeks before signing day. IMO he is waiting for a 'bigger' offer which is why he is playing the waiting game but up until this moment RU is his best offer. Sucks because RU believed in him first before elite 11...but as they say nice guys finish last.
. Let him do what he needs to do, but hopefully in the future, when Ash has a full cycle to deal with, he'll communicate what giving someone your word means.

We can pick him up when he transfers and he can be backup to the last LSU transfer we picked up.

The understanding between RU (via Kyle Flood, its duly authorized agent) and Anthony Russo was that Russo would have the opportunity to be a pro-style QB. It was RU who broke its word.

These stupid thank you notes when these guys de-commit annoy me. I don't need some stupid thank you note from some 17 year old who never wore the uniform. I don't care about you. This isn't directed at Russo himself, but just in general. We don't care. If you want to leave, then leave. I don't need a "it's not you, it's me goodbye letter."
