What kind of offensive and defensive scheme would you run ? What would be your offensive and defensive identity?
offense: Pro-style, but, with a dual threat QB. Run and short passes to set up the long ball. A lot of use of TE's and RB's on screens and swing passes. At least one small shifty slot receiver to get the ball to in space, one speed demon for the long ball and a possession type to do the dirty work over the middle.
defense: 4-3 with a speed rusher, one run stuffer. CB's would play man and take away the outside and force action towards the middle of the field. Two safeties in cover 2 that would not play too far back to take away the middle. At least one big hitting safety to punish receivers over the middle. Lots of blitzing to force the QB to get rid of ball quickly.
