In The Villages (Florida) Till Next Week--Anyone On Here Go To the Wednesday RU Gatherings?

I met the leader of the Villages Rutgers Club one evening while enjoying Rocky and the Rollers on the town square bandstand and 2 for 1 cocktails at the perimeter drink shacks. He seems like a swell guy who loves Rutgers. His wife, like mine, is a Douglass alumna. Predictably, we talked Rutgers sports.

Unfortunately, the Rutgers Club (one of over 2000 clubs in the Villages) meets only monthly and we were leaving the Villages before the next meeting. Maybe next year.

It turns out that thought is their meeting, since it's the first Wednesday of the month. I might mosey on down there once I'm done with dinner.

I sometimes watch the football games with the Villages alums.......at Beef O'Bradys
very nice people
I am retired but the group in general is quite a bit older than I......
and The Villages,,,even for me.....is quite remote
but they do some nice stuff,,,,esp on the Villages College Day
most people who live there have gone to college....I meet lots of Ohio Sate grads......Cuse, Penn State

the RU group that is most active seems to be the Tampa Alums
I will head there this fall to see a game or two

And given that none of the Villages RU alums have posted a response here, I'm guessing that their agenda for the evening, which involves planning next month's picnic and playing Joker Bingo, will be followed to a T, I might miss it. Besides, Vanna White is on Wheel right now and it's a religion in my mother's house to watch that.

Read somewhere once on the interwebs that the Villages has the highest rate of STDs per capita than anywhere else in the USA. Them old folks are busy. Bong chicka wawa.

It a huge problem in nursing homes also since Viagra came on the market. The reason being is that generation never really worried about std and only about pregnancy.

What do renegade Nigerians have to do with STDs? Are you implying that there's some sort of "email scam connection" that correlates to old people having sex? Is the wife of the late Minister for Economic Development, tragically killed in an automobile accident, telling them to f*ck like bunnies?

Darn auto correct!

Just left the villages on Monday where my folks live. Spent Sunday night at the town square since my 5 year old loves dancing. The whole place was doing the electric slide.

This is true, and so nasty it's torturesome.

That's a really weird correction. I'd be concerned.
