I would assume this wouldn't be a night game, but any ideas on if we are looking at 12 or 3:30 for this? I wouldn't think the networks would be competing for this game in any fashion, so it would be on the bottom tier of what they want to be shown. Sad, but just a state of where we're at.

easy answer is 12. However, if Indiana wins the next two and is 5-3 a 3:30 isn't out of the the question. It's not only the quality of the game but who else in on the docket at that time. Isn't that the week all the SEC teams play 1AA games?

Was looking at Indiana's record this year and last year.
We are 2-0 against them (1-0 in 2014 and 1-0 in 2015!). They have looked solid in all of the games this year, and because we beat them last year, I had concluded that they sucked last year too. They played the top tier teams competitively, the same thing they are doing this year. Makes we wonder if they play to the level of their competition.
2015:
L tOSU 34-27
L-Iowa--35-27
L- Michigan 48-41 2OT

2016:
L tOSU 38-17 (not as close as last year, but they kept it close most of the game)
L Nebraska 27-22

Hoping for another close game and W for RU!!!

Indiana hired a new defensive coordinator this year and he has made a world of difference. The defense is actually carrying the team right now because the offense is a little lost. They completely shut NU's run game down till the 4th quarter and even though NU was short 3 oline starters I don't think that was the main issue. They fly around every play. They like to run blitz and try and make you beat them one on one in the passing game and they have a good secondary.

Their offense likes to run the ball more than they have been but the oline has been a problem. They have been without their all American player (Freeney sp?) but he could return soon. Their starting QB doesn't have the big arm and is a FCS transfer. He struggles with the speed of the game some. He will make mistakes. They also brin in a running QB who caused NU fits for a while till they adjusted. They ran spread option stuff and short run pass option stuff with him and he is really really quick and fast. Their RB's and receivers are nothing special but they play to a system. Slants and wide receiver screens. They lost their deep threat for the year in the first game of the year.

I was impressed with their team speed and they seemed to have quite a bit of depth on defense. They certainly are not the Indiana of years past.

Only Tennessee (Tennessee Tech) has a 1AA opponent that week. However, CBS has a triple header starting with Notre Dame -- Navy at 11:30 and then SEC games at 3:30 and 8:00 (Georgia at Kentucky, Missouri at South Carolina, Florida at Arkansas, Vanderbilt at Auburn, Alabama at LSU, and Texas A&M at Mississippi State).

Hold on on the QBs.
Lagow is the starter, right? From an ESPN article, "Lagow initially signed with UConn but left school before the 2013 season opener. He then walked on at Oklahoma State, where he redshirted, then spent the next two seasons at Cisco (Texas) Community College."

Lagow beat out Zander Diamont, who was a 2 star recruit with no other offers. He seems to be brought in to provide a spark. Not a world beater, but brings a different look. Speaking of looks, when you Google Zander Diamont, the first hit is about his girlfriend. Like the old song say, You have to be a football hero to get along with the beautiful girls. . . .

Yes, your right on the QB. It was a juco and not FCS he went to. My bad. Actually I took that from the announcers Saturday and I should know better. I have never heard 2 guys get so messed up with players, coaches, and even who was playing the game. It was brutal and we get them again this week. Yes Lagow is the starter.

PS: props on the pic. It'll be the best part of the whole thread. Ha

Anyway, in the games I watched more closely, Lagow looked very good. Did not closely watch the Husker-Indiana game, but they have looked a lot better this year. Zander Diamont's Dad is a soap opera star--I heard the announcers reference that several times.
Huskers looking solid this year!

I think the Huskers are a paper dragon. May be without 7 offensive starters this week including the QB. Starting 5 walk ons. Better get healed up quick or Wisconsin and OSU will prison rape us.
It's the way football is so next player up.

Good for Zander. She would be hot in NYC. In Indiana she must stop people dead in their tracks.

I actually have another social opportunity that evening so while I usually detest the noon start, given the way this season has gone I'm actually pulling for it. Which is why it will probably be 3:30.

I don't get it. What's with the face? Why do chicks always look like that in their pictures? She looks like she's trying to inflate a giant pool toy.

You've got a problem with that?

It's unattractive.

Consider this: If she was making that face in the act of... ya know... making that face, you'd never see it because you'd mostly be looking at the back of her head, amirite.

FWIW, here's what's on the B1G schedule that day:

Michigan State at Illinois TBD
Maryland at Michigan TBD
Purdue at Minnesota TBD
Wisconsin at Northwestern TBD
Indiana at Rutgers TBD
Iowa at Penn State 7:30 BTN
Nebraska at Ohio State 8:00 ABC/ESPN/ESPN2

So there are five games in play. Figure three of them get slotted at noon, and two at 3:30 (one on ABC/ESPN/ESPN2, one on BTN). I am guessing that Maryland/Michigan is the primary 3:30. Any of the other four games could be the BTN 3:30.

So IMO, 75% chance 12:00, 25% chance 3:30.

Despite their bad start the Northwestern/Wisconsin game could have a lot of West Division implications. It might get a "better" time slot.

Yeah, I guess your right. We usually inflate the giant pool toys in the back of the garage, and unless I am standing on the back work bench, you only see the back of the head. amirite?

Is that how it works though? I thought that the ESPN family got first pick and BTN got the leftovers. If so, I would envision Michigan getting 3:30, and Wisky getting a prime noon slot (i.e., ESPN2 at worst, not ESPN News or ESPNU).

I'm just throwing out possibilities. I have no clue what their cryteria will be. Most of the time I don't think they do either.

Hit chick, but with that kardashian duck face pose she must be as sharp as a bowling ball.

BTN can move ahead of ESPN a few times a season. I don't know the specific amount though. They used one of those opportunities already.
