Interesting tweets from Tyler Scaife

Yup, Diamond is gone ...SMDH
so she's gone.
Other players will need to step up.
Won't be easy, but not a total disaster as some will make it.
Diamond was a major factor in RU being a good team, now someone just needs to do the same. Iaf that happens , losing Johnson will not be as bad as claimed or if every freshman this season steps up and improves their game as sophmores, a team effort might overcome Johnson's loss.
Every year players come and go, the sky is falling crowd makes each loss look like the sky is falling.

Rather than hijack Tyler's loyalty tweet that shows her love for Rutgers to a thread knocking everything RU WBB, I'll just say that I'm glad to see an ex RU great show the type of love for RUWBB that Scaife shown in her tweet.
We, as Rutgers fans, don't need to try to turn positives into negatives every chance we get.
We can comment in a positive manner about something positive posted on this board.

Perhaps a little wishful thinking. Diamond was in a league of her own.

The freshmen certainly did not step up this year so I think you are kidding yourself that if Diamond leaves we will be ok. Next year takes a huge slide backward

You are probably right, but one can hope what lost can be made up by those who stayed and those on the way.
But the message I really want to convey is:
positive messages need not be turned into negative thoughts.
When someone starts a thread that has a former player expressing loyalty, enjoy that instead of the negative reason that player felt the need to tweet support for the program she loves.

When Tyler left after the 20-12 2017-18 season there was a lot of hand wring over that, but the program carried on and had a 22-10 season without her playing
Arella took her place as the go to.
Now it will be up to others to replace those departing through transferring or graduation.
Something that happens to every college program every year.

There are enough threads that have negitive outlooks that those outlooks fit in, this could have been a positive thread about Tyler's love of RU but now it was hijacked into another whoa is us thread. because Scaife's tweet was turned into a negitive without anyone expressing it was nice to see Tyler';s loyalty to the program.

A lot of tiomes freshmen need to adjust so instead of dwelling on the negative freshmen play ,
I'll go by the expected improvement as sophomores because of adjusting to the college game
when freshmen.

Not every talented HS player is completely ready for the college game and some don't shine as freshmen but step up as sophomores.
Hopefully when they leave their student/Athlete days behind they will feel the same way about the RU WBB program that Tyler Scaife does.

I really like the way Tyler tweeted, shame that those replying in this thread ( so far) are ignoring it
Come on Rutgers fans: can't someone give Tyler a 👌👍
instead of acting like it isn't there to see and find 👎 reasons to enter this thread with.

Love Tyler - she was dealt a tough and unexpected health blow when she was here that had nothing to do with basketball. She clearly appreciated how this staff and RU supported her.

It was an atypical year for any college student, let alone a D1 athlete under strict quarantine and no fans. Not sure how to judge the experience from afar or it’s impact on team dynamics. Sometimes it just doesn’t work and as fans, we just need to accept that some players - even special players like Diamond will choose to leave.

Maybe so, but you have to get up after taking a blow like that and keep chopping! Right?!

And it's still not a done deal.
For all we know Diamond might just see Tyler's tweet and decide RU isn't so bad after all .
One must remain positive and remember things don't always turn out bad when things look like they're going to be that.

I applaud Tyler who obviously was a wonderful player here and representative of this school. She like most of us find it very hard why a star player would entertain transferring in her FRESHMAN year from RU. I just somehow hope we(fans, players and coaches) find out her real reasons for looking elsewhere and address them so it does not happen in the future.
