This one shouldn't hurt much in the polls. Do they get Iowa at the RAC? Took em to the wire with nothing from Geo or Young.
No reason for our kids to be down about this loss. Turn the page immediately and get the #RACtion going the next two games for wins.
Garza has actually been very gracious in his postgame comments, a stark contrast to his on-court shenanigans.
I’m sorry if the refs didn’t take over to go from RU up 8 to Iowa up 8, we run away with this one I’m talking third 20 point win of the season. We are so much better than Iowa it’s not even funny. 7 minutes with no basket it was all free throws
I despise the fact they don’t come to the RAC this year. While we got hammered on the offensive end in silence, they sprinted to the bonus as usual. There were some bad shots and passing decisions but putting this team on the line with shots so early wasn’t on us.

Perspective here. At home Iowa has beaten Minny by 20, Maryland by 18 and Michigan by 7.

We killed ourselves at the start of the half. 1 of 2 on the technical, Yeboah misses a lay up right underneath the basket, then 1 of 2 again by JY I think. Thats 5 points in the very beginning of the half squandered.
The lay missed by Young is a heart breaker and tough to copy with. The ball roll on the rim. Just a bad break. But, they are a fun team to watch.
We needed to follow our shots, give more effort on loose balls and box out on foul shots and we win this game with a hot opposing player and some questionable calls going against us.
I'm glad we don't see them again. They are good. No one clobbers us on the glass and Iowa was +8. They are going to win a bunch of games in this league. Garza gets 20+ and 10+ a game. Best player I have seen this year, I think.
I think we missed 8 more shots than they did, so those extra defensive rebounds they got are understandable. I think we pretty much matched them in offensive rebounds.
