Is the Program Overly Tight-Lipped with the Fans?

We waited a couple of weeks before the program acknowledged that Noga wouldn't be back.

We've had weeks of players in boots without any hint of possible eta's back on the court.

Other teams, including our own football team, don't claim privacy concerns by sharing general terms: "day to day" "could be back before the end of the season" "high ankle sprains are notoriously longer to come back from" "game time decision" "probably out for the season," etc..

From WBB, nothing. The program should accept, even applaud, that the fans are invested in this team and its players. That should be better respected.

It was a great surprise to see Zippy back on the court at NW. After seeing her in a neck brace at the Michigan game, I really thought she was probably out for the season, not just one game.

Last year we went into March with a short bench again. Again this year?

Give us some hints.

Just a ridiculous statement. If anything keeps the attendance down it is the price of tickets.
You mean you plan to go to games and then you find out that a player is hurt and you don’t go because no one tells you when the player is coming back.

its a combo of things, I think ticket prices are certainly one of them but also CVS outreach to the community as well. The RU promotion of womens hoops is pretty poor too and has been for the past decade. Also of course the style of play. I also think that womens hoops peaked in general nationally in the 2000s with Summit/Geno and has been slowly declining since. The personalities of the game are no longer there.

No parking charge anymore right?
Correct. One small step in the right direction. I do think that the team does a lot of community outreach which doesn’t get as much publicity as football or men’s basketball. The promotions that are run haven’t been successful. The Kids Zone this year really didn’t have an impact.

Yawn, yawn, and more yawn. You post rarely here, and when you do it's the same old s***. Please find a :better team that that is up to to your very ancient standards.

Scarlette, you use the same refrain, over and over and over again, against any comment from any poster with whom you disagree. Even when it is patently not true.

Your posts never address the point at issue. They are just static ... always ... self-righteous static.

You can't possibly believe women's hoops peaked with Summit/Geno when Notre Dame, Miss. St., Baylor, etc. drew record-breaking crowds and amazing Final Fours lately?? Sorry, the game just keeps growing. Plenty of personalties..watch Oregon lately?

Have you ever heard that there is a LAW nicknamed HIPAA, which guarantees medical privacy, and what difference does it make if you are told before hand when a player will return, some people think that they have a right to know about other peoples medical condition & they are wrong.
