It took 4 OT's

I do not understand. IU has better SoS and RPI than MSU. Does that lessen the impact of the RU loss to IU? Is it better for the teams RU beat to win?
I don't think that's BeK's point.

First, RPI is not particularly volatile at this point in the season. RU's main interest would be in regard to teams that are "on the cusp" of 50 or 100 (or 25 or 150) RPI - that is, you want teams you beat to be "top 50 RPI", teams you lose to not to be over 100 RPI, etc.

In the abstract, otherwise, it is arguably better for teams that RU played to win, but that's in the abstract, it probably doesn't matter unless there are some huge upsets.

But - I think BeK's point is that Indiana is "on the bubble". As is RU. We don't want them to improve their resume and, while it wouldn't truly be 1 to 1 correspondence, essentially knock us out.

That's part of it. Also, RU beat Michigan State, so you want the win over Michigan State to look as good as possible.

It's all marginal at this point, of course. No one game played by other teams is likely to make that much difference.

Buss and Cahill both played all 60 minutes! Buss leads the country in minutes played with an astounding 40.3 mpg. Crazy. I wish we were playing them today!
