James Draft prospects from Patriots blog

Very fair. James, due to his injury history, has almost no chance of being drafted. However, his talent will likely have numerous teams interested in giving him a shot as a UDFA

LOL. Awesome.

"Welcome to the third installment in our 2016 NFL Draft Rutgers profile series. For the past few days, we have been taking a closer look at each of the draft-eligible Rutgers players, for the sole reason that the New England Patriots are so keen on the Rutgers pipeline."

He will because great ambassador for the program if necessary able to make a team. Another walk-on that Rutgers coached into the pros.

I'm rooting for Paul James...what a great person to rep RU.

Isn't the Patriots infatuation with Rutgers players mostly a Bellicheck/Schiano thing? I wouldn't expect that Rutgers/Patriots pipeline continues to grow the same way with the current group of guys who played under Flood.

Back when Rice was up for the draft, the big question was how many hits he had taken in college. It seems like one of the big things all teams worry about is how much wear and tear RB's already have plus how did they fare from this beating?
Nobody can argue that James had a problem with the wear and tear. He is an absolute beast when healthy, but...that is the real problem.

Ryan, Harmon and Beauharnais straddled Schiano and Flood's tenures. I also think his son being at RU had something to do with it. And I believe his son was still on campus when James redshirted.

Ultimately, Belichick liked how Schiano ran his program and prepared his players for the next level. He is not one of the best in NFL history for rewarding people who allowed his son to participate on the football team. Ryan, Harmon, and Beauharnais were all recruited by GS. Ryan was a 4* big time recruit who panned out. If Flood had been retained, you would see our NFL pipeline run dry due to lack of talent.

You think Belichick didn't take into account the inside the locker room information his son could provide?

I would think even if healthy James would have a hard time making an NFL roster. He was slow by college standards which will make him pedestrian by NFL standards. Hopefully he took his studies seriously and has a back up plan.

Maybe he can be rebuilt.

Maybe he can be made better, stronger, faster,...

Article seems on point. Hope James can stay healthy.

I don't know if James will be drafted or not. I am pretty sure he will get a chance some where, and I see him making a roster.

In all fairness, the worst injury he had was when a Navy player dove at his knee from the side, and out went his ACL. I don't think anybody would have had a better outcome.

So I wouldn't call him injury prone, but you can't perform if you are not healthy. SO I wish him the best of health, and best of luck in making an NFL team.
