Rutgers football senior Janarion Grant was named Big Ten Special Teams Player of the Week, the conference office announced Monday. The wide receiver took a kickoff return 84 yards for a touchdown, the fifth of his career. Grant helped key the Scarlet Knights’ 52-14 victory over Howard Saturday.

Looks like Grant may have to put Rutgers on his back for the time being. Last week may have been vs Howard but he has done this vs big teams in big situations. The kid is dynamic.

Good stuff, Janarion! Not sure if any of you were around here a few years back, but I told you when he committed to Rutgers that you had a great one. I've had the pleasure of watching him since he was playing middle school ball; knew when he was in HS that he was amazingly gifted as a return guy (when he was a junior in HS, I used to tell my fellow FSU fans that my local HS return guy was far better than anyone FSU had; I believed it then, and still believe it now).
