Here's a little tip for HC Ash when recruiting. Jersey people tend to have a lot of Jersey Pride. Barring (maybe) Texas (everything is bigger in Texas, don't mess with Texas, Friday night Football in Texas) I would argue that no other state displays more pride than NJ. We have been called the "armpit of the country, toxic wasteland, Jay Leno once said that Capt. Sullenberg chose to land his plane in the Hudson River rather than landing in NJ. We take the insults and spit it back at you. Push the Jersey pride when recruiting. A few years ago we had shows like Jersey Shore, Real House wives of NJ, Jerseylicious, and even Mob Wives which took place in NJ. We are a proud people with a proud image (usually). Of course when recruiting the elite players we need a straight talking winning spirit and a leader that we can believe in. I think we found it in HC Ash. Don't minimize the Jersey angle when recruiting. Kids from other states also liked the Jersey TV shows (Jersey Shore), IMO it is a great marketing tool. Use it. How many other states can you think of with state pride like NJ (and TX). NJ is a cash crop for high school recruits. An excellent recruiter with passion can (hopefully) score them and keep them in-state. Best of luck Head Coach Chris Ash. Glad you are here!!!!!!!!!!!
