Jets Need to give Gary Nova a Shot

The Jets never take Rutgers players since Parcels and Belichick left. The one they had recently they traded. That is one reason why the Jets are always losers and the Patriots are always winners.

The Jets were going to draft Devin McCourty, but the Patriots traded someone or some picks to get one spot ahead of the Jets, and they then took McCourty.

I thought it was because of air-pressure.

The Jets are looking for a veteran QB, as they should. They have a rookie backup right now who from all accounts is far from ready. The well traveled Jake Heaps is another rookie QB who is probably fighting for a spot on the practice squad.

I wonder if they would give Matt Simms another shot if he doesn't stick at Buffalo.

I wonder if the Jets should offer more money to Enemkpali to try and get him to come back. Geno would have to pay him his money though.

Super Nova !

"Abro" now if I could "Double Like" a post I think you post with the 3 GIFs would have warranted my first ever Double Like. All 3 were great examples of how Gary Nova is capable of making the most difficult throws in the game of football.

That first GIF was a special throw that needed to hit him perfectly in stride for the WR to go all the way for the TD and Nova put it RIGHT ON THE MONEY! The other 2 GIFs were also great examples of how Nova can move around in the pocket to give his WRs time to get open and make big plays.

Awesome post. I DOUBLE LIKE IT!!!!

This is not a comment on Gary at all. Just a common sense point. With 1245 pass attempts, your gonna find examples of great throws no matter who the qb is. With that number of attempts, 50 gifs would be cool to see, but not evidence that someone is NFL caliber.

The late, great, George Young said it best: "All fans are a victim of highlightitis".

A 5x completion percentage in college ball usually doesn't make you a candidate for a position on a roster. You need that 6x completion percentage and you need to be able to show that you can carry the team on your shoulders. Dumbing down the play book to avoid mistakes is not how you show that.

i wonder if Nova could catch? He was a big kid who ran ok. The Ravens signed Army's QB Steelman but as a WR (which he had zero time playing in HS and college).

So are coaches and evaluators. Maybe every time they view footage of a player they should see his 10 best plays and 10 worst.

If the jet coaches put any stock into the 10 worst, guys like Geno or Sanchez would have never seen the field.

I'm a big nova critic, but he may be best served with 3 years in the cfl and see if he can get a shot later on

got to be honest, I was never a big Gary fan, BUT I watched RU-MI game from last year, again, (could watch it again tonight) on the B1G network and he had one hell of a game, made some very big time throws
