Well earned. The more experience he gets the better he is going to be. Love his aggressiveness. Last game w was a little bit of an eye opener for him I'm sure. He took a really terrible angle shot one possession that at this level is a turnover. It has no shot of going. The very next possession he worked to the middle of the field for much a much better opportunity and scored.
Our team shooting percentage has to get better. I'd like to see a few less shots but better looks. Then we have to bury them.

He's tied for the team lead in goals, but he also has 5 assists. That's a good sign. He is going to get some talented defensemen assigned to him. The going is going to be tougher, so hopefully he doesn't get frustrated and try to press too much. A learning experience for a young player
Stony Brook and Loyola both tried covering him with a SSDM. In hindsight, didn’t work out. Will be interesting when he starts drawing other teams best pole.
It’s imperative that our attack be able to take short sticks. Last year a number of B1G teams shorted some of our attack. If they can’t beat shorties the offense simply won’t work.

Kulas will likely get shorted again. There has to be a strategy around that.

I think if Murphy and Aielio can initiate and draw attention, which I think they have shown that they can, Kulas should be able to take advantage of a shorty just by getting his hands free. He had a few good looks last week but he just wasn’t finishing. He is typically deadly accurate on the quick righty catch and release. Hopefully just an off day. When he is on and able to do what he does best, he is a weapon.
That's the only way his skill set can be utilized. Aiello and Murphy or whomever the other two attackmen are have to be able to beat their man with some regularity or Kulas will be rendered completely ineffective. He can't run by his man and his only role is to snipe. If he isn't than they need to get someone in who will.
