I talked to a scout in the Phillies organization at one point last year and they had Lasko projected anywhere from late 3rd-early 5th. Ended up going mid-2nd. Think JKG is actually ranked higher than Ryan as a prospect too so will be interesting to see when his name gets called.

I hope JKG is appropriately rewarded for his efforts and talent. I feel bad that his last year at RU did not include the team achievements that we all expected he would enjoy. A fat contract should be some consolation to him.

In baseball, they virtually never come back for their last year if they are draftable, and sometimes even if they just think they can just get a good free agent contract. It’s been this way in baseball since long before the trend of leaving early in other sports started.
