Joshua Hicks had one of the Greatest Runs I've Ever Seen

Gotta get him the ball!! Makes the No talent argument look so so silly.

Appears coaches are now admitting that Hicks has to get on the filed and their choice at qb was wrong. Growing pains for new coaches who are trying not to be swayed by popular opinions but the faithful could have told them that last December.

He is not very fast but he has tons of power. I can watch that play over and over again.

One does wonder how much or little emphasis coach Ash put on previous seasons. I think we all knew Hicks was a good player. We also were pretty skeptical of Laviano.

In Star-Ledger today Hicks has averaged 5.5 a carry in career, yet can't get on field.

Having 4 or 5 guys on O with true P5 1st or 2nd string talent, out of 55+ on a roster, is why people say "we have no talent." You just don't get it nor do you want to believe it (despite the facts being played out in front of your eyes on a weekly basis...). YES, Hicks is talented, nobody ever said otherwise.

Again, we out gained both Iowa and Illinois.

Yes, we did, but that doesn't mean we've got a ton of talent. WE DON'T. 385 yards of total offense isn't something to brag about. EVER.
There use to be time where 385 yards of offense was considered excellent. Man, times have changed.

Never claimed we do. I'm arguing against the idea that we have no talent.

Last time I checked points not yardage wins games. Any D.C. Would tell you if they get a shut out they don't care if they give up 800 total yards.

You can win or lose games for a variety of reasons. Or a combination of reasons.

And you can lose games despite having superior talent.

But when a team out gains another it's hard to say the losing team has a distinct talent advantage.

Your main point is obviously correct but any elite defensive coordinator or any coordinator for that matter always finds things to improve on. Most would be downright PISSED if they gave up 800 total yards of offense regardless of whether or not it resulted in 0. I know you were exaggerating but yards do matter. ESPECIALLY to someone that is responsible for the defense.
