Class of 2018:
QB Taquan Roberson (DePaul Catholic - NJ): "Great overall visit, I liked Coach Kill a lot. He’s a great man and I like what he is doing. Coach Ash has a lot of new coaches, but I think they will be really good especially from what I saw today."

QB Matt Valecce (Fordham Prep - NY): "Rutgers put on an impressive junior day today. Had some good conversations w the coaches. I spoke with Coach Ash, Kill, Busch and Mantz, they all gave very positive feedback on my film. It was my first time at Rutgers and I was impressed. The coaches and the presentations were great. I’ll be going back for a spring practice and also to check out their camp.”

QB Shelton Applewhite (Paramus Catholic - NJ): “It was a really good visit. We came in took some pics with Ash, we listened to the staff talk, and we ate some food. After that I had to leave though because i couldn’t stay too long. I’ll definitley be back sometime within the next couple months.”

QB Alec Beesmer (Milford Academy - NY): "I had a chance to tour the facilities, learn about some of their academic programs and also had a nice talk with Coach Kill about his plans for the offense. He talked about schemes, and that he had an opportunity to look at my film, and that I need to stay in touch.”

QB Joshua Zamot (St. Augustine Prep - NJ): "Man it was great. I love everything coach Ash and his staff is doing, especially all the upgrades to their facilities. His main message was academics!! Really stressed about keeping our grades up and making right decisions on and off the field. My favorite part was meeting the new QB coach, coach Kill. He seems like a great guy and said he's looking forward to working with me because of my Dual Threat abilities, that's the type of QB he needs to run his offense. The food was great and the coaching staff was great as well. Everyone was extremely nice and helpful, they answered just about everyone's questions. They also had 4 veteran players come in for a Q&A session and the coaches left the room so everyone was able to ask anything they wanted with no worries. Great overall visit and Rutgers remains in my top 3 choices. I was close to getting an offer with coach Henry but he left so coach Kill said he will be evaluating me and I should here from him soon. He said he's only been on staff for about 15 days but he's heard great things about me. He gave me his personal cell # and email so I can stay in touch. Invited me back for spring practices and game."

RB Mario Agyen (John F. Kennedy - NY): "The visit was amazing I felt as if I was home the way coach ash and the coaching staff made us recruits feel about building and bringing back Rutgers was great and also about the schools education definitely loved it. They talk about being a student athlete and handling your business in the classroom and on the field the also talk about the weight training there tutoring and study hall."

WR Jackson Parham (Hillsborough - NJ): "It was a great visit. I really like Rutgers and they have some great coaches. We were introduced to their training staff and saw their training facilities. The strength trainer coach Parker is very energetic and seems like a pretty knowledgeable guy."

WR Brendan Ekwughalu (St. Peter’s Prep - NJ): "It was great. We first went into the meeting room and listened to the coaches, and academic staff talk. We then went on a tour of the stadium which was fun. I spoke to Coach Ash for a little bit and Coach Busch. At the end all the receivers met with Coach Williams and spoke with him as well. It was just a great day. Loved everything about it. I’ll make sure to ball out this year at their camps. I will get that Rutgers offer."

WR George Garrison IV (Dwight Morrow - NJ): "It was a good experience, we saw all the football facilities such as the stadium, locker room, weight room, trainers room, cafeteria, and got a chance to build new relationships with different coaches or continue some existing relationships. Also Coach Ash is building a great program at Rutgers and him and his staff bring a great attitude and mind set to Rutgers to make us better football players and people in general.”

TE Henry Pearson (Paramus Catholic - NJ): "Today was a great experience they definitely are excited to go out this year and prove a lot of people wrong. They have made lots of changes to their facilities and it all looks great. Coach ash is a great coach and I'm excited for this year."

TE Liam Cabri (DePaul Catholic - NJ): "The visit was great. I went to all the facilities, I met with the tight ends coach and I can really see myself there in the future. Overall it was a good time with my teammates. The tight end coach met with me with a few of the other tight ends. It wasn't that big of an individual period, so we only had a little bit of time to talk."

OL Anthony Marinelli (DePaul Catholic - NJ): "What stood out to me was how much the coaches emphasized effort and attitude, they base everything off these two crucial elements. After the visit I spoke with coach Blazek and he told me they only have 3 o line spots 1 inside guy and 2 outside guys. He said I am the top inside guy he is recruiting so an offer shoukd be coming soon. I hung out with my teammates that were there the whole time. Coach Ash said that I looked taller and a lot wider and thicker and that my tape was extremely impressive. He wants me to come back multiple times to speak to him and coach Blazek to really talk some football and to build a better relationship."

OL Sebastian Delasoudas (Don Bosco - NJ): "It went really well and I really like the coaches and the atmosphere that the University had to offer. The coaches were very nice and they seemed really excited about the future. I'm really looking forward to see what they have to offer and it should be a good year for myself as well as Rutgers as a program."

OL Justin Johnson (Imhotep Institute - PA): "I spoke with a lot of the Coaches today. Mainly Coach Ash and Coach Blazek. I enjoyed myself. I enjoyed the meeting the rest of the coaching staff and learning about Rutgers program and the future far ahead. We talked mostly about the future of Rutgers, the academics, and the life beyond football"

OL Joshua Jefferson (St. John’s High School - DC): "It went really well, I like the coaches and I like how they are rebuilding as a program and it seems like they have a good thing going on there. Talked to the head coach, o line coach, d line coach, recruiting assistant, strength coach and a couple other coaches. Coach Hewitt was my favorite coach because he was one of the first coaches who started taking to me, and he spoke some great words about me and you can tell he really believes in me as a player and has great expectations for me. And I also liked the O-line coach because of his personality and his enthusiasm and he wants it to be a O-line school, and he was so pumped up the whole time which shows that he loves what he does.”

OL Larry Ross (Peddie School - NJ): "I had an awesome day at Rutgers. My parents and I were very impressed with everything the school has to offer me. I talked to coach Blazek mostly today, we were talking about what the next step is for me and I feel very good about it. I also talked to coach Spittal and coach Hewitt for a little bit. The coaches at Rutgers are awesome."

OL Noah Sansalone (Vineland - NJ): "Overall, the visit was quite an experience. The facilities that Rutgers are pretty sweet and soon to be adding more renovations in the near future. The coaching staff all have the same goals along with the players there which seems to maybe equate to competing for a championship in the B1G. The coaches are there for the recruits and players through their career and are an awesome group of coaches that make the university welcoming and an experience that was well worth it."

OL Resheed Wallace (Hudson Catholic - NJ): "Today's visit went great, I've gotten a tour around the school, put the uniform on got to meet some of the coaches I haven't already met, and really enjoyed myself. To be honest I wouldn't mind seeing myself in that Rutgers Uniform in 2018."

LB Nick DeNucci (Pope John XXIII - NJ): The school is great and Coach Ash has a lot of pride in what he is doing. He is doing his best to get things back on track and the work to get things back on track is starting to show. Nutrition is huge at the school and plays a huge roll in what you do. My favorite part of the day was getting together with coach Niemann and seeing what he had to offer."

LB Jahan Worth (Parkland - PA): "It went great, all of the facilities are beautiful and a very personable coaching staff. The players really seemed like they were enjoying their time at the University. I love how they stress academics and the programs they have in place to ensure student-athlete success. Overall a great visit and I look forward to being in contact with various coaches from Rutgers University."

LB Nihym Anderson (Vineland - NJ): "It was a great experience for me. It was my first junior day, I liked it a lot. Everyone there showed a lot of love to me. Before I walked in the door they already knew who I was. That showed me a lot about how much these coaches actually care about players. I talked to Coach Ash, Hewitt, and Spittal, Coach Ash just said to just keep grinding and don’t worry about not having offers right now, it’s a process."

DB Ray Minneci (Paramus Catholic - NJ): "Well first we all met up in the meeting room , coaches talked introduced themselves showed us some cool videos , then we split up gave us a awesome lunch, after that we went to the weight room showed us some warm ups they do and workouts , then we tried jerseys on and tools picture , and after we got to talk to our position coaches I spoke to coach busch the safety's coach.”

DB Isaih Pacheco (Vineland - NJ): ""Today was a great day at Rutgers. They showed love to all the juniors. They are changing the program to be successful and not only that, they let the guys try on the jerseys and it felt good to be in a No.1 jersey. It was a good vibe I had in Janarion Grant jersey who most likely going to be in the league one day. The coaches let us talk to a couple seniors, we got to ask questions about the school."

ATH Lucas Nunez (Cardinal Hayes - NY): "Well they basically gave us a tour around the school and all rules and regulations as far as being a student athlete pretty much! And what's required in school and the average gap we should maintain. I also had a chance to talk to Coach Williams for a few. He was just saying that he really likes the way I compete on the field and he's looking forward seeing me in the spring practice and hopefully he will be able to see me wear the Rutgers uniform in another year.”

P Reed Naglich (Mason - OH): "The visit went great! I learned a lot about the program and I really enjoyed it. The coaching staff is phenomenal and the academic program for the players is impressive. Overall it was an awesome experience."

Class of 2019:
QB Joshua Comune (Cheshire Academy - CT): "It was great. Overall just a great experience, I got to meet the new coaches as well. I spoke to head coach Ash, and new offensive coordinator, Coach Kill. Ash said he loves my film & my ability to run and pass. Coach Kill has only been on staff for 15 days so he hasn't had a chance to evaluate my film yet, but he's looking forward to seeing me at camp."

WR Jaaron Hayek (Wayne Hills - NJ): "It was nice, I enjoyed it. Gonna have to get used to going up there a lot for the next 4 years so it felt like home."

LB David Trinidad (Wayne Valley - NJ): "It's going well, just enjoyed the day at Rutgers. It was a great experience. I really like what Rutgers coaching staff has planned for the future of the program. I arrived there with my family and a few other teammates. I talked to Coach Ash and Coach Niemann, it was a great experience to get out and really get a feeling for what the program is all about."

DB Nyquee Hawkins (Orange - NJ): "Taqaun Roberson, Mohammad, Ronnie Hickman and myself are all really close. So when we had got there I spoke to the head coach Chris Ash and he had offer me a scholarship to go there. We also viewed the new weight room, and they talked about what they were trying to do this year on the field."
