...Winning a close game here does not translate to a 3-9 season. There are so many things on the wrong side for us today...10 people out to start the game, a whole new secondary that had to be patched up 2 days before the game, breaking in a new QB, first time the OL will play together, some of out best players are out to injury, etc. and etc. And that is without all the off field stuff. Bad decisions or not these players had friends who were taken off the team. I think we have way too much talent to lose, but don't be surprised if it is a 14-10 halftime score.

Just lick our wounds, get out of here with a win, and get our s#it together for Wazzo.

Generally speaking ..the first game of a college season is not indicative of much. Often it is a sloppy affair with missed tackles, penalties, etc. A not so close game with RU winning could help ease some of the depression...at least temporarily.

Obviously can't see us losing today, but am I scared for the rest of the season? That would be a resounding 'YES' - lots of questions marks going in and then our secondary situation just imploding does not make me optomistic.

Please . Norfolk also has ten players suspended for this game.
They are on the bottom of the MEAC.

Even Saracuse beat Rhode Island 47-0 and Norfolk is worse than them.
Our 2nd String should beat Norfolk by 4 TDs.

This ^^^^ People are forgetting that the Norfolk team has been decimated by 10 suspensions. This team would likely lose to Monmouth by 21 points or more. There is no excuse for not winning this game by at least 4 touchdowns even with our own issues.

Close game would be very telling and you would have to be naive to think otherwise. I still remember in 2010 going to the half up only 3-0 in our annual MEAC game thinking that something was seriously wrong with the team.

We had an awful time of it with Howard in the fourth quarter last year and had a decent season.

It can go either way honestly. I'd be happy with three TD win.

We should destroy Norfolk. Norfolk would beat Rhode Island.

Not looking good, third straight completions with receivers wide open
