for its marching band's halftime show this week, which looked like it contained a NSFW Jayhawk. The band claims that it was a spaceship going into a Jayhawk's mouth. Regardless, the university is punishing the band. You can't make this stuff up

never happen here...we only have about 2" worth of band "members"

They can sanction all they want - but this becomes legendary ... imagine KSU reunions 10-20-30-40 years from now - at some point someone will always say:
"Remember that time when the band ........"

That was awesome. It was 100% clearly the Jayhawk performing fellatio and it was HILARIOUS.

If that happened in NJ, there would have been mass house cleaning going on

You know I love NJ, but sometimes I really hate it.

Rutgers Football Involved In Another Scandal | Politi

"The real question is why would Flood agree to play a Kansas Jayhawks team that has been publicly subject to such homophibic penile humiliation at the hands of a rival marching band? In the wake of the Tyler Clementi scandal?? It would only bring humiliation by affiliation. He just doesnt know how to avoid negativity. This just solidifies the fact that Flood is not fit to lead at RU and should be fired immediately."

Clearly you are qualified to join the staff of writers.

I think you got it wrong. Politi was upset that the Kansas Jayhawk was portrayed as biting his head.

Bands that push the envelope make college football what it is in some places, especially those with football teams not known as world-beaters. In the "lean" years at Stanford -- a lot of 5-6 -- the band made it worthwhile to show up. Same for Rice. Princeton has been known to cause trouble as well.

And good for them. It's college, for crying out loud. If a little harmless fun is too much for people, screw 'em. They were "forced" to apologize, but they should have said, "We stand by our story. It's the starship Enterprise. Deal with it."

or "Clearly the bird is standing. If we were portraying a sex act, the bird would have been on its knees."

I actually thought the band was portraying Politi taking care of Manahan in order to keep his job since he's a no-talent hack. Thought they did a pretty good job of it too, the band.

Mild I love it. They should call an Ode to RU

No such thing as "harmless fun " anymore

internal sanctions means there must have been some sort of penetration involved...hey, what's one pecker to another anyway?

I'm all seriousness it was supposed to be the USS enterprise as they were doing a star trek sjow. It does look like the enterprise, but it unfortunately also looks like a fallice.
