So I looked at the schedule today to see which game was Military Appreciation day and as I figured, it was listed as the Nebraska game, since it's usually the home game closest to veteran's day. In the past, they've had discounted tickets (10-15 off) for military for that game (Indiana last year, and whoever the hell kicked our ass the year before). I didn't see anything about that today on the website so I gave them a call. They told me that it was confusing on the website, that the actual military appreciation game (with the discounts) are for Washington State, and the Nebraska day is just a game where they will be "honoring veterans." I find this ridiculous that they refuse to give a discount for the Nebraska game. I understand it's a pretty big name team coming, but they're selling tickets through the athletic department for 75 when you can get them on StubHub for 50. I will find it highly unfortunate if they lose money on unsold tickets because you an get them cheaper elsewhere and they refuse to give discounts for Veteran's Day. I already have my ticket for the game and I will be in uniform, however I'm trying to get my friend a ticket who's in the NJ guard, but I'll pay 25-30 less on stubhub before I get it through Rutgers because they refuse to give discounts for that game.
