Latest TV series mention

I know, They have become so common that no one even takes note anymore. Latest was on season premiere of "Elementary". Seems some magnet was stolen from a lab at Rutgers which helps Holmes and Watson solve the case.

A 2,000 pound magnet. And one campus security guy was hurt. I think we need better security on those magnets.

A positive mention I would say, if you think about it this way... the show takes place in New York City and the writers had to come up with a believable research university that might have such a high tech McGuffin and they passed by NYU. Stony-brook, Columbia, Princeton and made-up TECH named schools and settled on Rutgers.

A nice mention on a good show.

I think for a lot of viewing audience outside of this area those two would qualify as the made up tech named schools GoodOl'Rutgers mentioned.
