It's obvious that we have no chance with top tier NJ talent right now. But I figured we'd at least get a few solid 3 star guys like Harding, Jonah Morris, Maurice Ffrench, Yasir Durant, etc. Yet here we are..

Try to spin it positively if you like but when they are committing to the likes of Bill Cubit who got a two year contract as HC you have to wonder. By saying this I am not seeking to trash HCCA or his staff nor thinking he should have kept EJ or Campanile but he needs to figure out if there are some takeaways on how to approach recruiting next year. The reality is there has been little buzz and no real momentum with this class. I think Alexander is the last chance at a nice surprise.

I know, didn't another poster on this board tell us that Illinois was a dead program. Hard to believe anybody would want to play for such a lousy program, oh wait, they went to the Rose Bowl in 2008, oops, my bad.

I remember that Rose Bowl. Ouch. I think RU fared better in it's bowl game that year. USC set some records in that Rose Bowl. I think Mariotta may have broken some of them. I don't even think it was one of USC's better teams. Cushing may have been on that team.

I think the fact that we have 5 backers in this class may have had an impact on him. Shame would have liked to have him.
