Life is good for Richard Pitino. A 7-foot transfer, Matz Stockman, from Louisville. Pretty fortuitous -- oh wait, Louisville is coached by his Dad. And two guards from our area -- St. Raymond's Isaiah Washington and Patrick School's Jamir Harris. Harris on-campus already, Washington arrives next week. We are so far behind the curve ... it is hard to be optimistic.

In a power conference recruiting more talented players is the only way Rutgers can get out of the B1G basement .With the likely loss of Sanders based on todays news articles ,2017 for Rutgers looks like it will be a Jordan type season where even easy out of conference games will be difficult to win.

Our coaching staff is excellent. Sanders is not the program. Very athletic thats it. Shooting % turnovers? Our record with him? Im not saying we dont need or want him, we do, but his loss will not set us back.

Matz was pushed out of Louisville by Rick Pitino. He is not very talented, though he is a better fit for the B1G than the ACC where his lack of footspeed & size will not be exploited as much.

Might have been nice if Matt was pushed our way ...

Let me bring you back the optimism......

I know its been a long time and people have forgotten, but there was a time when the RAC was a special place, were we were able to beat Georgetown, Syracuse, Villanova, Louisville plus others that were just as good or better than any of these Big Ten teams of today. And we didn't outrecruit these teams, but they were good enough. That is what Pikiell needs to do, he doesn't need us to have a top ten class every year, he needs us to be good enough to hold serve at home. If he makes the RAC special again everything else will fall in place.
