I knew he has a lot of potential and would be a HC eventually, but didn't see an SEC team going after him this early.at South Carolina. Crazy kid is only 32
yes we know you love him. yes he is a Wiz Kid it doesn't mean he is ready or capable of running a multi million dollar operation just yet. It wouldn't have surprised me to see him interview in the MAC or even AAC but the SEC?He's a freaking Wiz Kid! Get a franking clue!
Yes. And it showed - a more experienced coach would have turned it around faster (but we couldnt afford that.)Wasn't schiano around 35 when he too the RU job?
Yes, GS was 35 when hired by RU.Wasn't schiano around 35 when he too the RU job?

He's ready and capable so screw all that dumb sh!t. How old was Schiano when he got here. This man is a way better game manager and doesn't need much talent to win. This would be a hire that'll set Rutgers up for a good 20 years.yes we know you love him. yes he is a Wiz Kid it doesn't mean he is ready or capable of running a multi million dollar operation just yet. Rutgers doesn't need muching changing around. We've already got the athletes and the recruiting ground. Rutgers just needs a good coach. UNC went from getting their teeth kicked in by us to playing for The ACC Championship with a good hire. We're not asking Lincoln to build from the ground up. With a good coaching plan we can run with Sparty and with bad coaching we get blown out by OSU.Yes. Yes, if only Terry Shea were a few years older he would have gotten the job done.Yes. And it showed - a more experienced coach would have turned it around faster (but we couldnt afford that.)
Schiano was only a successful DC at one school before he took this job. Lincoln has been a successful OC at Texas Tech, East Carolina and now his offense has proven to be the diffence maker that propelled Oklahoma back to prominence. I've been telling you guys about this guys for years now. He simply plays ahead of his time and will be the most successful and loyalist coach Rutgers has ever had.Big difference between 35 and 32.
He's a freaking Wiz Kid! Get a franking clue!
Current CEO of Burger King took over when he was 33. Yeah, I know, big difference between 33 and 32. :smiley:yes we know you love him. yes he is a Wiz Kid it doesn't mean he is ready or capable of running a multi million dollar operation just yet. He will win The Job if Hobbs gets him to the table.I love lincoln. Great guy.
He reached out to be the OC at Rutgers 2 times to flood. Flood never even called.
Hope he lands the South Carolina gig
Big difference with handing Schiano the keys to build the worst program in college football at the time vs taking a job at a SEC established program.Wasn't schiano around 35 when he too the RU job?
I don't think he's been an OC at TT. He wouldn't leave OC at TT to be OC at ECU. Just did a quick look and he wasn't.He's been a successful OC in Texas Tech, East Carolina and OU but some people here think he's too young LOL. His offense had been the difference maker that put The Sooner back in the championship hunt. This will be a slam dunk hire. We need someone that'll figure out away to be Urban, Sparty and Jim and he's the man to do it.
