Sanders, Thiam, Deshawn, Eugene, Doucoure/Sa

We never use it and I think it'd work. We don't play Eugene and Deshawn with a Center ever.

Actually would go with Sanders or Baker, Eugene, Thiam, Freeman and Doucoure....Eugene is not a bad dribbler and has guard tendencies....It would be a little more flexible, but there are lots of combinations that extend the defensive pressure and this one would be interesting in a zone defense that forces teams to shoot over us.

Without Baker we'd be in trouble. A lot more of the offense runs through him and he is probably the only one who will dish the ball to Thiam on the perimeter.

I apologize. We need to find a lineup for 8-10 minutes so Baker doesn't play 35 minutes a night. That is how I meant the Sanders, Thiam, Deshawn, Eugene, Doucoure/Sa lineup should work. Baker is playing 30 minutes a night. The lineups with Souf just don't work well. I see this as a pivot off that lineup.

Our best lineup is our starters and that combination plays more minutes than any other combination we run.

We need to give Baker more rest
The problem as I see it,,,,concerning Baker playing so many minutes
is aside from Mike Williams
our next "reliever" is Mensah and he just isnt up to the task

No problem saying Baker is the leader of this team. Putting nh basketball on the map!
Somebody shop a proper R onto this--it's the least we can do.

Yes. Without depth this is what it comes down to.

Doing the math without Mensah and all our players getting optimal minutes you have to steal minutes with 3 bigs.

We actually played a decent amount of zone today. With the jumbo lineup you can still rebound out of the zone and have Issa on top as a tough guy to shoot over. Think Cuse with a long guy in front in the 2-3

Sanders, Baker, Kiss, Carter, Doucoure. Sorry, getting ahead of myself.
I would like to see Thiam at the 2 guard position more his length as a defender is very good and he has been playing great defense. He also would be able to get his shot off more against smaller defenders

The issue with this lineup is that it is a turnover waiting to happen. Not enough ball handling skills there, especially with Thiam at the 2.

A lot of teams play 3 guards. I am not sure that would work.

Next year will also be interesting if Geo hasn’t stopped growing. If Geo is 6’6 or taller next year with assumed improved ball handling by him & Issa, then at times they could have a very long and tall 3 guard line up with Geo, Issa, & Mathis/Kriss

Sanders, Baker, Kiss, Carter, Doucoure. Sorry, getting ahead of myself.

Early GRF odds has Sanders at 35% returning. If he does you should now have 5 bodies for the 3 perimeter spots. Sanders and Baker get 64 of 120. That leaves 56 for the remaining 3. My hopes are Kiss and Mathis are ready Day 1 and take most of those 56.

Now if Sanders leaves we need a 5th perimeter guy so we aren't in the same boat asking Eugene to steal some minutes at the 3.
