I’m all for the pep band over the PA system but I was pissed when they cut off Led Zeppelin’s Immigrant Song after about 5 notes on Sunday.
When it comes to pep band classics, Hey, Baby! is my all-time favorite.

Yep, that goes back more than 4 decades - I remember the keyboard player (JK) playing it.
"Beth's must ring"?? Is that some kind of mashup with Kiss? (not Peter Kiss.... but Peter Criss).
As for songs, I always thought Stevie Wonder's "The Duke" would sound great by a pep band.
He was saying UGA. Stole it from University of Georgia which is weird but it worked and was a fan favorite.
"The Final Countdown" - always played at the final media time out of the game. And there was an Indian saxophone player who went nuts during that song that made it even better. Bring that back!

Band has been cutting off good stuff multiple times a game forever.....but such is a college band - they have their times they trump whatever is on the PA. I'm guessing it happens everywhere. Truth be told I almost like anything else on the PA vs what the band is playing but that's just grumpy me, and I get a college band is part of a college atmosphere.
The Immigrant Song cut off is part of the canned intro video. It's been the same every game this season. I just don't understand why they don't cut it off right before Robert Plant sings about coming from the land of ice and snow.
One of my favorite albums of all time is the 'A Charlie Brown Christmas' album. You didn't realize until you got older how great the music was for Peanuts.
