Well it's an ND home game right? Just like YS said Army when we played them. I don't see the lulz. Good for BC for not giving up a home game to Fenway
Army actually plays in New York. Boston College actually plays in Boston.
Best part is that the visiting locker room at Fenway is so small that BC has to dress for the game on their campus and then bus over in uniform. Just like high school football. Fitting for a program with high school level support.

Yep. It's an ND home game, which is why it's on NBCSN instead of ABC or one of the ESPN networks.
I believe this is the first Notre Dame game to air live on NBCSN, but I wouldn't be shocked to see more in the future.
More embarrassing than a BC away game taking place in Boston is the use of "lolz".
This isn't new.
Maryland played a road game v ND in Baltimore & our MetLife games would have been road games.

I find it hard to laugh at another program given the current condition of ours.
Is it an ND "home" game or a neutral site game? Either way doesn't reflect that badly on BC playing a road game in the next town.
This is why I'm glad we turned the deal down. And one of the reasons I really don't like Notre Dame. Pretty arrogant to force schools to play a road game in a professional stadium in the shadow of their own campus. The MetLife game would have been a Notre Dame Alumni gathering and a New Jersey recruiting trip, with The Frenchies taking a major share of the revenue. Just not a great deal for us.
ND is wearing home colors, the game is being broadcast on ND's TV network and ND gets the bulk of the money.
Nothing neutral about this game except for the fact that South Bend locals aren't working the concessions.
And wouldn't a neutral game have BOTH team names in the end zones?
The deal requires BC to buy Notre Dame dinner. Kind of like Derek Jeter and Hannah Davis in Italy ....... Ok. ..... Nothing like that. But you get the idea
The RU-UND game at the Meadowlands would have been a Rutgers home game, and we would have had to make a return trip to South Bend. We turned it down because UND wanted half the tickets and half the revenue, essentially making it a neutral game with a return trip to South Bend. Rutgers would have had fewer seats at the Meadowlands than we do at Rutgers Stadium, and we would have received far less revenue.
It is an ND home game.
Note that UND was originally scheduled to play at BC in Chestnut Hill in 2015, with a return game to South Bend next year, but that series was scrapped when UND joined the ACC for non-football. As part of that agreement, UND plays 5 ACC teams each year, alternating between 2 and 3 UND home games each season. The ACC scheduled BC to play at UND this year and UND elected to move their home game from South Bend to Fenway.

That's not a valid point. This isn't a neutral site game, but part of the Shamrock Series, which is a Notre Dame home game that is played away from South Bend. There is no 50-50 ticket split.
God you're dumb Kenny. It's Notre Dame's home game. They can put it wherever. I'm sure BC is thrilled they don't have to travel for a road game.

I'd be good with a home-home series against UND in which the Rutgers home game was played in Piscataway and the UND home game was played at the Meadowlands or Philadelphia.
Not quite. They would have been OUR home games, however, ND would have "controlled" the majority of the tickets, gate/concessions/VIP/etc, and parking, which, IMHO, was WORSE than letting it be there "home game," and....man....I THANK GOD we said "NO" to this day.
Chestnut Hill is still a Boston suburb.
But Fenway is still smaller than BC's home field, isn't it?
At Fenway, the sight lines are terrible for baseball, too. The seats in right field are the worst in MLB and there are numerous poles throughout the stadium. The seats are narrow as well. (Simply, people are bigger and taller than they were in the 1920s.) It's a historic ballpark, but not a great place to comfortably enjoy a game.
Nd home game and its nothing else, prices are through the roof. BC students were offere seats in about 3 section starting at $175.00 as visitors. My kid got an allocation in the lottery but will attend a watch party at house of blues.
I went to Fenway about 20 years ago for Red Sox game and sat behind a pole for 9 innings. The ticket was cheap and I thought I got a great deal until I sat down.
I'm a Yankee fan, but find the complaining about Fenway to be absurd. When I walk through the concrete wasteland of NYS I can only wish I was at Fenway. Screw Lonn Trost and Randy Levine for destroying our stadium and our home crowd.
Well being Boston is the unofficial Irish american capitol in the USA its not that weird....
I DON'T think good...ND ain't that good and as much as i hate BC they'll play hard...Catholic pride.
