Look at this point I don't give a s*it that it's early and too soon to say anything. The buzz around the program is awesome. This has me excited. We win tonight against PSU at a sold-out RAC, the projections are only going to get better. This is the first time in my life this has happened for RU...well I was like 5 the last time we made the tourney (4 turning 5, do the math re: my age), the most hype around the program. I am so excited. I am ecstatic.
So can we keep this thread positive? I mean I know it's early but we can talk about possibilities and fun other than going "oh well we have 17 or so conference games left." Yes we have a lot of conference games left, but, we're looking great. Tonight will be a litmus test.
Lunardi has SHU as a 6 seed though. I don't care if they had injuries. We destroyed them. We do have one bad loss, one loss against a top 10 team on the road, and a tough loss against Pitt at Pitt. We're undefeated at home and destroyed a Big 10 opponent on the road.
I didn't think we'd be in the conversation for the tourney this year. I thought next year would be our year. If we can make it this year though...oh man. The first time in my life where I'm old enough to really appreciate it and understand the gravity of it. I grew up hearing all these stories from my dad and grandfather about Rutgers Basketball.
My dad was a freshman in 76 when we went to the Final Four.
Now, I finally get to witness this greatness, first-hand, even though I know we don't have Jordans or Sellars on the team. But they are so fun to watch.
