Nobody trusts Lane Kiffin, but I still think you should take a chance on him. No way in hell was Major Applewhite following Tom Herman to Texas. Major is still beefing with Longhorns.

Same offense.
Same recruiting ground.

Appropriate position for his current work history.

Not a whole lot of "baggage"

Makes a lot of sense.

Gotta wonder if Miles ever gets back in the ring
... he's 63 (and some feel his strategic concepts are even older)
... he probably had to rent trucks & hire drivers to transport all of his money from LSU to the bank
Hard to imagine him being willing to take a supporting role / minor school & spending 1-2 years retooling his 'image'

Been periodically searching twitter to see what is up with Les Miles, PJ Fleck and Charlie Partridge. Last I saw on Les this morning was he may go to ESPN. Looks like Fleck stays put. Hoping we can land Charlie Partridge (friend of Ash) as he is a Florida native and he apparently was a great Florida recruiter for Wisconsin. We have had success with Florida players. If we don't get Charlie, we could just hire Al Golden.

This was the right choice by Houston. In as much as I want strong teams in this league, I'm glad he landed there.

Rumor was this was the participant (scroll down):

And this is his wife (allegedly):

The only thing that comes to mind is, Dude, WTF?

I can see Les Miles taking over Lee Corso's role on Gameday & college football programming in general.

I had more to say, but the picture of Applewhite's wife distracted me, and RU4Real's comment has me belly-laughing like a fool.
